Customer Support Agent

About the Role

Be the voice of ChopBase and help our users succeed. As a Customer Support Agent, you'll assist micro food vendors and small business owners in getting the most out of our ChopQ and ChopMoni platforms. This role is perfect for recent graduates and interns who want to start their career in tech.

What You'll Do

• Respond to customer inquiries via chat, email, and phone in a friendly and timely manner
• Help users troubleshoot issues with our mobile apps and web platforms
• Guide new vendors through onboarding and product setup
• Collect and document user feedback to improve our products
• Create and maintain help center articles and FAQs
• Escalate complex technical issues to the engineering team
• Track and follow up on customer issues until resolution
• Contribute to improving our support processes and response times

What We're Looking For

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong empathy and patience when dealing with users
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is a plus)
• Available for hybrid work in Abuja

Nice to Have

• Previous customer service or support experience
• Fluency in local languages (Hausa, Igbo, or Yoruba)
• Experience using CRM or support ticketing systems
• Familiarity with mobile payment apps
• Experience working with small business owners
• Technical background or interest in technology
