Welcome to ChopBase. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our websites, applications, and services, including ChopQ and ChopMoni (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

ChopBase operates ChopQ (restaurant ordering and management) and ChopMoni (financial services). ChopMoni's financial services are provided in partnership with LivingSpring Microfinance Bank, which holds the requisite banking license for operational compliance in Nigeria.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information as needed
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. ChopQ Services

ChopQ provides restaurant ordering and management tools including QR code ordering, real-time notifications, and sales analytics. By using ChopQ, you agree to:

  • Use the platform only for legitimate business purposes
  • Maintain accurate menu information and pricing
  • Fulfill orders placed through the platform in good faith
  • Comply with all applicable food safety and business regulations

5. ChopMoni Financial Services

ChopMoni provides financial services including savings accounts, loans, and digital wallets. These services are operated in partnership with LivingSpring Microfinance Bank under their banking license for regulatory compliance.

By using ChopMoni, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your funds are held by LivingSpring Microfinance Bank
  • Loan approvals are subject to creditworthiness assessment
  • Interest rates and fees will be clearly disclosed before you accept any loan
  • You are responsible for repaying loans according to agreed terms
  • Late payments may result in additional charges and affect your credit standing

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use our Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresent your identity
  • Use our Services to launder money or finance illegal activities

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by ChopBase or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChopBase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to ChopBase in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
